Tomahawk takes meat from the rib primal of the cow, an area known for the extra flavour because of its unique combination of fat and muscle. It is awesome both in flavour and presentation. We have already cooked it - it is tender, juicy and and has a rich, flavourful taste.
DEFROST BEFORE USE: This product has been individually vacuum-sealed and flash frozen to preserve the incredible taste, freshness and quality. Defrost in the refrigerator and use within 24 hours. For best results remove from refrigerator and packaging for up to 20 minutes prior to cooking.
CONVENTIONAL OVEN: Preheat oven to 170°C. Remove clear vacuum bag and place in the center of oven. Cook for 20 minutes. Allow to stand for 1-2 minutes before serving, then enoy it!
NOTE: Check product is piping hot before serving. Do not re-heat. For tenderness and succulence allow the steak to rest, uncover in a warm place for 3-4 minutes after cooking. We have given you these cooking instructions as a guide only. Cooking times and temperatures may vary with method of preparation, size and shape of the steak and your desired degree of doneness. You can test for doneness using a meat thermometer or instant-read thermometer; Rare @ 52°C, Medium @ 63°C and Well Done @ 71°C.
